A long time ago, okay freshman year of college, I had the amazing opportunity to work backstage at Philly Fashion Week (PFW). I was on top of the world about working backstage, I thought it was the coolest thing, and now, only two years later I am attending PFW.

I love love love fashion shows. They are fun, energetic, and inspiring. But to be honest my favorite part is finding a spunky and fun outfit to wear.

The Fit: Simple Rock Glam

I'm gonna be honest, I am impressed with myself. This outfit was planned last minute due to the weather changing (like seriously can this weather make up it's mind already) but I am proud of how cohesive it turned out to be! The shiny bra and blazer are both from Target and to be honest I bought the bra with intention of wearing it to be an alien for Halloween (stay tuned for a Halloween blog???) but it ended up being perfect for this show. The leather leggings are from Forever 21 and I AM OBSESSED!! They are comfortable and hug my waist (something that a girl always loves) and have a great shine to them. I love the recent trend of taking something that is business causal like a blazer and wearing it in a nontraditional or "sexy" way. It adds so much versatility to ones wardrobe.

The Student Show: My Favorite

ree

The show I attended was the student show, and the students to say the least were amazing! My favorite designer from the show was Shaneika Hamilton from Moore. I loved how Moore that this collection is for menswear and shows men of color. I love the color palette for this collection especially the bring pop of yellow. The biggest thing that stood out to me was the choice of textiles. The fabrics were incredible and a unique twist on the collection. Each piece was so different and interesting to look do to the textured knits.

Here are some of the looks:
